Our Companions provide thoughtful, non-medical support, including:

Light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, organization)
Transportation to appointments and errands
Running errands (groceries, pharmacy, etc.)

How It Works

Register & Connect

Register and meet with us via Zoom to define your needs and finalize the agreement. You will be asked to sign the Client–Agency Agreement and submit the registration fee

Give it a try

We hand-pick candidates for you to interview and schedule a paid work trial with the one you like.

Get support

Make a job offer and provide a contract to the Companion, submit the placement fee and begin employment with confidence and support

What Are The Costs

That’s a great question! We like to keep things simple, transparent, and easy to understand.

Registration Fee – $500

A one-time, non-refundable fee to begin your personalized search.

Placement Fee

For long-term Companion placements:

10% of the Companion’s monthly gross income
Paid on the first of each month for the first 12 months of employment.

Placement fee includes:

Candidate sourcing, screening, and coordination
Background check and document verification
Coordination of interviews, in-person meetings and work-trials
Ongoing support throughout the placement
We share with you the industry standard practices and California labor laws.
Connecting with Homework Solutions — a payroll company for in-home care
A one-time replacement guarantee
Companion Hiring File
Monthly checks in to evaluate care

In many cases, we are able to present qualified Companions within a few days. Timing can vary depending on your specific needs, schedule, and location.

No—our Companions provide non-medical care. If your loved one requires medical support, we recommend working with a licensed healthcare professional.

Each Companion is carefully screened and interviewed. We conduct background checks, verify references, and ensure CPR & First Aid certification.

Yes. You will have the opportunity to interview Companions by Zoom and/or in person before moving forward.

A work trial is a paid opportunity for you and the Companion to spend time together and ensure it’s the right fit before beginning employment.

The Companion is paid directly by the family. We will guide you on industry standards, California labor laws and expectations. Rainbow Companions is not an employment agency but a referral agency.

We offer a one-time replacement guarantee within the first 12 months of employment, so you can move forward with confidence.

While we do not provide legal contracts, we are happy to share guidance and best practices. We recommend consulting with an attorney if needed.

We primarily serve Southern California, including Los Angeles and Orange County, but may assist with other locations depending on the search.
